My favourite Cloud
Lying on the soft velveteen grass, I as usual in my pensive state thought of you. Not deciding to fan my thoughts in a particular direction. I arrived at a junction, where I could feel the bliss of a warm connection.
As I lay on the well-combed grass, I could feel the tiny droplets of water tumbling down like beads on the blade of grass. It gave a chilly feeling in the warm evening. Sundown seemed prettier than ever and we both blushed for different reasons, only known to the universe.
Reminiscing my childhood days, I rolled over the grass. And with the watchful eyes of a kid, I gazed at the rosy sky. Two fluffy cottony clouds grabbed my attention. The masses of frozen crystals gave me a warm fuzzy feeling. I peculiarly gazed at their movement, as they drifted away in the cyan-blue sky.
My eyes behold their cosmic beauty and wondered — how beautiful it is to be together and yet feel free. I went inside and picked my writing pad, trying to etch how it feels. Now my two favourite clouds will always live in my words. And will happily swim in the entirety of the ocean up above my head — the space that we call ‘sky’.
We are like two clouds whiffing over the Sal forest,
You are the one that’s distant,
Flying up and beyond the dusty mountains,
I am the one that’s slowly trying to catch up with the course of the buoyant winds.
But we never halt during our sojourn.
We both take turns to meet up halfway.
Like cotton candies we conjoin,
And huddle until the azure sky braces us with a soft warm sheet of molten starlight.
You look like a dream when you sleep,
You are my favourite cloud and will always be.
Let thy spirit be high in love. Namaste
