Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi also known as ‘The Father of the Nation’ in India, was one of the prominent figures in the Indian Independence Movement.
Born on 2nd October 1869, MK Gandhi was an Indian lawyer, anti-colonist nationalist, and political ethicist.
He was the leader of the non-violence movement against the British Rule in India. The movement gained heavy support from the native people, who became a part of it.
Gandhi played a pivotal role in making anti-colonial nationalism known to the native population. With the joint support of the people, Gandhi opposed the salt tax by commencing the 400 km-long Dandi March in 1930.
